Week Two’s GOALIES of the week are Sean Eylott of Canada Stays and Matt Maldoff of Colliers, posting shutouts on Sunday night!

Rumour has it, these two goalies were inspired by the Tim Hortons commercial last winter and spent their summer in Africa training with the Kenyan Hockey Team. These two goalies went the entire summer without letting in a goal, boosting their confidence to new heights. Sean and Matt would like to credit their shutout success to the fact they never faced any opponents, as their was no other team to play……..

Moving on from that stretch of a joke, if Shylott can keep this performance alive, Canada Stays will be a tough team to beat. As Drake once famously said, “Canada Stays started from the bottom, and now they’re a threat.”

Colliers is looking to regroup after last seasons devastating championship loss to Kalles. Shutting out the defending champions is a great way to send that message.

Congratulations Shylott and Maldoff on an impressive performance. You get your choice of any prize listed on the FHSHA website News and Announcements.

Welcome Back Players! With rust, sweat and tears flying all over the ice on Sunday, the 2019/2020 season has begun!

Our first Player of the Week is Mathew Siegel of Dynamic Tire, scoring an incredible OT winner, 11 seconds into Overtime.

Matt’s goal propelled Dynamic passed Colliers for a 6-5 win, for their first big win under new ownership.

Matt would like to dedicate his early accomplishments to Barry’s Bootcamp and intermittent fasting for preparing his mind body and soul for the hockey season! A further acknowledgement to Scotty Turyk for sharing his performance enhancing drugs with the whole Dynamic Tire team.

Congratulations Mathew on your body’s acceptance of human growth hormones! You get your choice of any prize listed on the FHSHA website News and Announcements.

CONGRATULATIONS to Harvey Kalles Real Estate on winning the 33rd Gold Cup!

Team Kalles came ready to play Sunday night with all hands on deck, most notably the Finals MVP Commissioner Burke scoring the first goal and the game-winning fourth goal. Boyle, Shubs and Andy Bassin added additional scoring to secure the victory.

Colliers continued to claw back into the 3rd period, hoping to repeat their comeback victory versus Zubco the week before. Yet, this time they fell short losing 5-3, ending their quest for back-to-back championships.

TOP SCORER & GOALTENDER AWARDS:

The Forest Hill Senior Hockey League would like to recognize two old standing traditions, which have been on hold since 2005.
